CLAUDE RUNS MY BIZ / 43
THE CONTENT ARCHITECTURE

Make Claude write scripts
in your voice

Ask Claude for a script with no context and you get the average of the internet. The fix is not a cleverer prompt every time. It is three layers you set up once in a Claude Project, so every script starts from who you are, what you sell and how you talk.

Works on every Claude plan, free included. Checked against Anthropic's docs, October 2026.

Three layers, one project
LAYERWHAT IT ISWHAT IT FIXES
1. The brand brainWho you are, what you sell, how you talkScripts that fit any business
2. The playbookTwelve structures and a hook bankThe blank page every week
3. The quality gateSeven checks Claude runs on every draftWeak hooks and invented claims
Set it up once, in about an hour
  1. Create the project

Open claude.ai, click Projects in the left sidebar, then + New Project. Call it "Scripts". Free accounts can have up to five projects.

  2. Add the brand brain and the playbook as files

Fill in the templates on pages 2 and 3. In the Files panel click +, then Add text content, title it with the file name and paste. One per file.

  3. Paste the quality gate into the instructions

In the Instructions panel click Set project instructions, paste the gate from page 4 and click Save instructions.

  4. Ask for scripts from inside the project

Start each new chat from the project page, not from the home screen. Your files and instructions apply to every chat inside the project, so you explain your business once instead of every time.

Layer 1: the brand brain
Three files. Replace every [BRACKET] with real details. Vague in, vague out.
FILE 1 · who-we-areCOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
WHO WE ARE Business: [NAME], [WHAT YOU DO, IN ONE LINE] Where: [CITY, AREA OR ONLINE] We serve: [WHO EXACTLY: TYPE OF CUSTOMER, THEIR SITUATION, WHAT THEY WANT] We are not for: [WHO YOU TURN AWAY, AND WHY] What we believe: [3 OPINIONS ABOUT YOUR INDUSTRY YOU WOULD DEFEND OVER DINNER] Proof we can show: [REAL REVIEWS, RESULTS, YEARS IN BUSINESS. ONLY THINGS THAT ARE TRUE] The face of the brand: [NAME, A ONE LINE STORY, WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY ABOUT YOU] What content has to do for us right now: [1 TO 3 GOALS, e.g. more weeknight bookings, more quote requests for service X]
FILE 2 · what-we-sellCOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
WHAT WE SELL Main offer: [NAME] for [WHO] at [PRICE OR RANGE] What the customer walks away with: [THE RESULT, IN THEIR WORDS, NOT OURS] How it works: [3 TO 5 SIMPLE STEPS] Questions and doubts we hear, with our answers: [LIST] What we give away for free: [GUIDE, CONSULT, SAMPLE, AND HOW PEOPLE GET IT] Our call to action: [THE EXACT SENTENCE, e.g. "Book your table through the link in our bio"]
FILE 3 · how-we-talkCOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
HOW WE TALK Our voice in three words: [e.g. direct, warm, a little funny] Words and phrases we use: [LIST] Words we never use: [JARGON, HYPE WORDS, ANYTHING THAT SOUNDS LIKE AN AD] How our sentences sound: [e.g. short, contractions, we talk to one person, not "everyone"] Us at our best, 3 to 5 real pieces: [PASTE CAPTIONS, EMAILS, REPLIES TO CUSTOMERS, A TRANSCRIPT OF YOU TALKING] What to avoid, 1 piece: [PASTE A POST THAT FELT LIKE AI OR LIKE SOMEONE ELSE]
No time to type? Let Claude interview you
INTERVIEW PROMPTCOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
Interview me to fill in my three brand files: who-we-are, what-we-sell and how-we-talk. The templates are below. Ask one question at a time and wait for my answer. When an answer is vague, ask a follow up question. Never fill a line with something I did not say; leave it as [MISSING] instead. When we are done, write the three files in full, each in its own block, so I can save them. [PASTE THE THREE TEMPLATES HERE]
THE FILE THAT MATTERS MOST IS how-we-talk Paste things you really wrote or said, messy is fine. Polished marketing copy teaches Claude to sound polished, not like you. A transcript of you explaining your offer to a friend is worth more than your whole website.
Layer 2: the playbook
Each play is a structure with instructions behind it. These twelve are formats you already scroll past every day. Add your own as you spot them.
FILE 4 · playbookCOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
PLAYBOOK Rules for every script: name the play, write the hook first, one idea per script, end with our call to action. 1. Listicle: [N] things, one per beat, strongest one last. Hook: "3 things I would never do again as a [YOUR JOB]" 2. Before and after: the pain, the turn, the result. Hook: "A year ago we [BEFORE]. Here's what changed" 3. Myth and truth: a common belief, why it is wrong, what to do instead. Hook: "[COMMON BELIEF] is not why [PROBLEM]" 4. How we do it: the claim, then the exact steps. Hook: "Here's how we [RESULT] without [PAIN]" 5. Mistake: the mistake, what it costs, the fix. Hook: "This one thing is costing you [WHAT]" 6. Story: a scene, the trouble, the lesson. Hook: "A customer [SURPRISING THING] last week" 7. Comparison: A versus B, and when each one wins. Hook: "[OPTION A] or [OPTION B]? It depends on one thing" 8. Tutorial: show the result first, then the steps. Hook: "Watch me [TASK] in [TIME]" 9. Contrarian: take the unpopular side and back it up. Hook: "Stop [THING EVERYONE TELLS YOU TO DO]" 10. Question: say out loud what your customer is asking, then answer it. Hook: "Is [THING] still worth it?" 11. Checklist: the list people will screenshot. Hook: "Save this: [N] things to check before you [DECISION]" 12. Reveal: show the thing first, then explain it. Hook: "This is the [THING] behind [RESULT]"
Your hook bank
Save the first line of every video that stops you scrolling, and why. Twenty is enough to start.
ONE ENTRY · ADD UNDER THE 12 PLAYS
Hook: "[THE FIRST LINE, WORD FOR WORD]" Seen on: [ACCOUNT OR LINK] Why it stopped me: [A NUMBER / A CONTRADICTION / A PROMISE / A QUESTION / A PICTURE] Play it fits: [1 TO 12]
ASK FOR A SCRIPTCOPY
Write a [PLAY, e.g. Mistake] script about [TOPIC] for [PLATFORM, e.g. Instagram Reels], [LENGTH, e.g. 45] seconds. The goal for this one is [ONE GOAL FROM who-we-are].
BORROW THE SHAPE, NOT THE WORDS Other people's hooks teach you structure. Copy a line word for word and you sound like them, which is the opposite of the point. Rewrite every hook in your own words before it goes in a script.
MAKE IT SMARTER EVERY WEEK When a script performs well, add it to the project as a new text file called "winners", with its hook and the play it used. The next drafts start from what already worked for you.
Layer 3: the quality gate
This goes in the project instructions, so Claude runs it on every script without you asking.
PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS · THE QUALITY GATECOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
You write short video scripts for [BUSINESS NAME]. Use these project files every time: who-we-are, what-we-sell, how-we-talk and playbook. When I ask for a script: 1. Pick the play from the playbook that fits and tell me which one. 2. Write 3 hooks, then the full script for the strongest one. 3. Before you show me anything, run the quality gate below and fix whatever fails. Quality gate: 1. Hook: would a stranger stop in the first 2 seconds? It needs a number, a contradiction, a promise, a question or a clear picture. If not, rewrite it. 2. Voice: does it sound like the examples in how-we-talk? Our words, contractions, nothing from the words we never use. 3. Audience: is every line for the customer in who-we-are? Cut anything only an expert would care about. 4. Goal: does it serve one of the goals in who-we-are? 5. One idea: one point, in order, no detours. 6. Proof: is every claim, number and result in our files? If not, cut it or mark it [CHECK]. Never invent results, clients or numbers. 7. Close: does it end with our exact call to action from what-we-sell? Show me the play, the 3 hooks, one pass or fail line per check, then the final script written the way I would say it out loud.
ALREADY USE CLAUDE CODE? Save the four files in one folder and create a CLAUDE.md next to them with the lines @who-we-are.md @what-we-sell.md @how-we-talk.md @playbook.md, then paste the quality gate underneath. Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md at the start of every session, and each @ line pulls that file in with it.
