CLAUDE RUNS MY BIZ / 45
THE STARTER GUIDE

Turn what you know
into clients

You already know things your customers would pay to learn. This is the plan we wish we had at the start: one offer, one promise, one free guide, and sixty days of teaching what you know in public, while Claude does the research and the first drafts. It runs next to the business, in under an hour a day.

Works on the free Claude plan. Claude, Instagram and Meta steps checked in October 2026. If a button has moved, look for the same name nearby.

The plan in four moves
Week 0: the setup, in one afternoon
  1. Write down ten questions

Ten questions customers asked you this month, in their words, from your email, DMs and texts. That is your first two weeks of posts, and the raw material for the prompts in this guide.

  2. Give Claude a home for your brand

On claude.ai/projects click + New Project, name it "My brand", click Set project instructions and paste the box below with your brackets filled in. Then use the + in the project knowledge to add two or three posts or emails you wrote, so the drafts sound like you. Free accounts get up to five projects.

PROJECT INSTRUCTIONSCOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
I run [YOUR BUSINESS] for [WHO YOU HELP]. I am building a personal brand around what I know, so it brings clients to [YOUR OFFER]. Write like me: short sentences, plain words, no hype, no jargon. Use the files in this project to learn my voice. Never invent results, clients, numbers or quotes. If you need a fact you do not have, ask me.
Prompt 1: your offer, your promise, your free guide
Open a new chat inside the "My brand" project and paste this. Keep Prompts 1, 2 and 3 in that same chat.
PROMPT 1 · THE FOUNDATIONCOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
You are helping me build a personal brand around what I already know, so it brings clients to my business. My business: [WHAT YOU SELL, e.g. bookkeeping for restaurants] My best customers: [WHO THEY ARE] What I know that they do not: [YOUR EXPERTISE, in your own words] Interview me first. Ask one question at a time, up to 10 questions, about my customers, what they struggle with before they come to me, what they ask me most, and what I can deliver even on a bad day. Wait for each answer. Then give me: 1. The one offer to build the brand around, and why that one. 2. Three versions of my promise, each one sentence in the shape "[who] get [result] without [pain]". Plain words, no hype. 3. An Instagram bio under 150 characters for each version. 4. The free guide: the first step of my customers' problem it solves, a title, and the 5 to 7 steps it should cover. 5. One keyword people will comment to get the guide. Use only what I told you. If something is missing, ask me.

Pick one of each. Then send: "Write the free guide in full, one page, in my voice. Mark anything you are not sure is true with [CHECK]." Fix every [CHECK], paste it into Google Docs and use File, Download, PDF Document.

NOW PUT IT ON YOUR PROFILE On Instagram, go to your profile, open the menu, then Settings and activity, Account type and tools, Switch to professional account. It is free, it unlocks the insights you will read on day 61, and it makes a private account public. Put your promise in the bio (150 characters at most) and your offer or booking page in the link. Later, pin your best three posts: the three dots on a post, then Pin to your profile.
Prompt 2: study what already works
Pick three to five accounts your customers follow. Copy the caption or first lines of their most viewed posts and screenshot each. Claude cannot log into Instagram, so you bring the posts.
PROMPT 2 · THE RESEARCHCOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
Below are [NUMBER] posts that did well for accounts my customers follow. For each one I pasted the caption or what was said, and attached a screenshot. [PASTE THE POSTS HERE, NUMBERED] For each post, tell me: 1. The hook: the first line, and why it makes someone stop scrolling. 2. The structure, step by step (for example: problem, common mistake, fix, proof, call to action). 3. Who it is for and what it promises. Then give me 10 post ideas that use the same structures with topics from my own work as [WHAT YOU DO] for [WHO YOU HELP]. Never reuse their words, examples or stories. Copy the shape, not the content.
Prompt 3: sixty days of posts
Same chat. This turns your ten questions into the whole plan.
PROMPT 3 · THE 60 DAY PLANCOPY EVERYTHING IN THIS BOX
Here are the questions my customers asked me this month: [PASTE YOUR 10 QUESTIONS] Using my offer, my promise and any post ideas from this conversation, build my 60 day posting plan as a table with these columns: day, format, topic, first line, call to action. Rules: 1. Rotate five formats: a lesson, a mistake I keep seeing, a behind the scenes, a customer question answered, a result shared with the customer's permission. 2. Every first line is about my customers' real situation. No "5 secrets", no clickbait. 3. Call to action: on most days "comment [KEYWORD] and I will send you the free guide"; on the other days "follow for tomorrow's". Never both in the same post. 4. My voice: short sentences, no jargon. Then write days 1 to 3 in full, ready to record or post.

Hit the free plan's usage limit halfway through? The chat keeps everything. Carry on when it resets.

Days 1 to 60: one post a day
If daily is too much, write a week of posts in one sitting and post one a day.
TIMEWHAT YOU DO
10 minTake today's line from the plan and tie it to something that happened at work this week.
20 minRecord or write it, and post it. Done is better than polished.
15 minReply to every comment and DM. Send the guide to everyone who commented the keyword.
5 minWrite down one question someone asked you. It goes into next week's posts.
HOW PEOPLE GET YOUR FREE GUIDE Start by hand: when someone comments your keyword, reply and DM them the link yourself. Those chats are where the first clients come from. When there are too many, automate it: Meta Business Suite on a computer has a free comment to message automation under Inbox, then Automations. ManyChat does the same with more options, but its free plan covers only 25 active contacts a month, so treat it as a test.
Day 61: measure, then decide
Open each post and tap View insights. Look at views, shares, saves, follows and profile visits, not likes alone.
SIGNALWHAT TO DO
Most shares and savesTurn that topic into a series.
Brought DMs or keyword commentsMake more in that format. That is your funnel.
People left in the first secondsRewrite the first line before you give up on the topic.
New followers who fit your offerMessage them and ask what they are working on. This is where the first sale comes from.

Or screenshot the insights of your last 60 posts, upload them to the same project and ask Claude what your ten best posts have in common and what the next 30 days should look like.

KEEP IT HONEST Do not invent results, clients or numbers to look bigger. Claude will write a confident claim you cannot back up if you let it, so cut it. Do not judge the plan before day 61: a small account gets few views at first, and that is normal. And do not copy other creators' words. Instagram has said it favors original content in recommendations.
