10 things to make with
GPT Image 2.5

The old problem with editing in ChatGPT: you asked for one change and it quietly changed your face, moved you in the frame, and got blurrier every round. Images 2.5 edits only what you ask for and leaves the rest alone, even after several rounds. Here are the ten jobs where that matters most, each with a prompt you can paste today.

Works in your normal ChatGPT account, free plan included. Source: OpenAI, ChatGPT Images 2.5, September 2026.

Three rules before you start

Every prompt below has [BRACKETS]. Replace them with your own details before you send.

01Product shots on any background

One clean photo of your product becomes a studio shot, a lifestyle shot and a seasonal shot, with the label still readable and the shape untouched.

Keep the [PRODUCT] exactly as it is: same shape, same label, same colors, same angle. Only replace the background with [NEW SCENE, e.g. a marble kitchen counter in soft morning light]. Match the shadows to the new light.
02A new headshot without a new photographer

Change the outfit or the backdrop on a photo you already like. The face is the part the old model kept breaking, and the part 2.5 now leaves alone.

Do not change my face, hair, expression or pose. Only change my outfit to [OUTFIT, e.g. a navy blazer over a white shirt] and the background to [BACKGROUND, e.g. a plain light gray wall]. Keep the same crop.
03One product, a whole catalog

Stay in the same conversation and ask for the next scene, then the next. Because each round no longer degrades the image, the tenth version still looks like your product.

Using the last image, keep the [PRODUCT] identical and put it in [SCENE 2]. After that I will ask for more scenes. In every version the product must stay pixel identical; only the scene changes.
04Update the text on a graphic you already have

New price, new date, new offer. Swap one line on a flyer, menu or banner instead of rebuilding the whole design.

Change only the text "[OLD TEXT]" to "[NEW TEXT]". Same font, same size, same color, same position. Do not touch anything else in the image.
05Turn a scribble into the final image@SKETCH

Type @Sketch in ChatGPT and draw with your finger or mouse: the layout of a room, a shelf display, where people sit at an event. It does not need to be good. ChatGPT uses the drawing as the plan.

Use my sketch as the layout. Turn it into a realistic photo of [SPACE, e.g. a small coffee shop counter] in [STYLE, e.g. warm wood and plants, daylight]. Keep every object where I drew it.
06Posters and event flyers from a templateTEMPLATES

Pick the poster template instead of starting from a blank prompt, then fill in the details. Upload your logo so it goes in as is.

Poster for [EVENT NAME] on [DATE] at [PLACE]. Main line: "[HEADLINE]". Use my uploaded logo exactly as it is, top center. Style: [STYLE, e.g. bold, two colors, lots of empty space].
07Merch mockups with your real logoTEMPLATES

See your logo on a shirt, a mug or a tote before you order a single one. Good for showing a client, or for a preorder post.

Put my uploaded logo on a [ITEM, e.g. black cotton shirt], centered on the chest, about [SIZE] wide. Do not redraw or restyle the logo. Show it on [a person / a flat lay] in [SETTING].
08A character or mascot that stays the same

This is the rotating cube from the video. Generate one frame, then ask for the next angle, again and again. The shape holds, so the frames can become a short animation or a comic.

This is [CHARACTER NAME]. Keep the face, proportions, colors and outfit exactly the same. Show the same character [NEW ACTION OR ANGLE, e.g. turned 45 degrees to the right]. Same lighting, same background.
09Fix one spot by commenting on itCOMMENTS

You can now leave a comment directly on a spot of the image instead of describing where it is. Perfect for small fixes: a stain, a stray object, a weird hand.

(Comment placed on the spot) Remove [THE THING, e.g. the cable on the table]. Fill the area so it matches what is around it. Nothing else changes.
10A house style your team can reuseSHARED PROMPTS

When you share an image you can include the prompt behind it, so someone else can run the same idea with their own photos. Nail one look once, then hand it to the team.

House style for [BRAND]: [BACKGROUND], [LIGHTING], [COLOR PALETTE], logo [POSITION]. Apply this style to the photo I uploaded and keep the subject exactly as it is.
WHERE IT STILL SLIPS Point edits are the strong part. Big layout changes, like moving three things around at once, can still shift the rest of the image. When that happens, go back to the last good version and ask for one change at a time. And always check faces, logos and small text at full size before you post.
HOW TO OPEN IT Open ChatGPT, start a chat and ask for an image, or upload one and ask for a change. It is already on web, desktop and mobile, free plan included. Free accounts hit their image limit sooner than paid ones, so save your rounds for the edits that matter.
